ATS also offers a version of the STAT Pocket Bleed Kit that contains a pack of Quik Clot Z-fold Gauze. Hemostatic gauze has been proven to far exceed standard gauze in controlling life threatening hemorrhage that cannot be controlled by a tourniquet.

Both the American College of Surgeons and ATS highly recommend hemostatic gauze be provided in all trauma kits.
